Academy Lunches

The academy operates a healthy eating policy.

All children in Foundation Stage and Key stage 1 (Reception to Year 2) receive a free school meal and these are cooked on site and are nutritionally balanced and always offer a choice. The children have a choice of a hot meal, which includes vegetarian and Halal choices, and the option of a jacket potato with fillings. Please note, KS1 children do not have access to the salad bar.

Children in Key Stage 2 (Year 3 to Year 6) who chose to have a school meal will be charged £2.40 per meal and this can be paid via the My Child At School app (MCAS). If you think your child is eligible for Free School Meals then please see the section below with a link for how to apply.  The children have a choice of a hot meal, which includes vegetarian and Halal choices, and the option of a jacket potato with fillings. In KS2 children all have access to the salad bar as an additional lunch option.

If your child is bringing in a packed lunch from home, we promote and encourage a healthy lunch, but please be aware that children will be bringing any rubbish home with them. Please provide your own cutlery should the packed lunch require it. Do remember that all children form Reception to Year 2 receive a free school meal so we would encourage you to make use of this benefit.

We must be very strict on children not bringing in any items containing nuts.
